who are we?
We are a UK-based, independent, not-for-profit organisation comprising of professionals from a wide range of industries and sectors, who mentor and provide inspirational career-experience programmes for students.
how it began
5 Diamonds Mentorship was founded by five sisters who had a vision of creating a platform where they could inspire, guide and support students from all backgrounds to achieve professional success.
The name "5 Diamonds" comes from the nickname given to them by their father Mahtab Miah - "Ponchoratna" which in Bengali means "5 Diamonds".

Sumita was just 23 years old when she was called to the Bar by the Honourable Society of Gray's Inn.
Sumita has been practicing law for over 22 years and specialises in Family Law and Criminal Law at Church Court Chambers in Central London.
Sumita has been involved as a Pupil supervisor in Chambers, volunteer in National Bar Mock Competitions and as a school advisor.

Surita graduated from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne and has been practicing dentistry for over 20 years.
Surita launched Serenity Dental Spa in 2014 with the vision of creating a dental environment where the focus was on “relaxation”.
Surita has a keen interest on encouraging students to find their passion.

Najibah is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist and Clinical Director for Oncology. Based at the Freeman Hospital’s Northern Centre for Cancer Care, she specialises in Breast and Skin cancers.
Najibah graduated from Imperial College London in 2008 and trained in the Northern Deanery.
Najibah has a special interest in teaching and training.
